“Creating Visual Art to Better Understand Our Climate”

Contributed a short essay and artwork to the Anthology with techniques and tools for using art as a tool for observation.

“Art - especially painting and sketching outside - is a powerful tool to learn about, observe, and record what is happening to our warming world. While sketching can seem like a simple practice, it requires intense focus on a pace and facilities deep observations of what is happening around us. And this keen observational practice can help us feel connected to the natural environment around us and be curious about how the colors and patterns we paint reflect the impacts of climate change.”
