A field painting created at Rattlesnake Ledge in Washington State. I woke up early to hike to a popular vista, and was immediately enchanted by the subtle colors of the morning light that lingered in the sky and hills. The sky was a subtle gradient of yellow and blue and small patches of snow lined the tops of the peaks, indicative of winter.
