Forest Rain 1

As I painted, drops of water fell from the branches of an old growth Hemlock tree above me. As each drop impacted the page, I could hear a slight “plop” and watched in amazement as little starbursts of white began to appear on the page. A painting co-created with the forest, made during my art residency at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest.
